About the Artist
Dr. Heidi Schultz has always aspired to be a landscape painter. During her earlier years, she devoted her time to raising her children and pursuing higher education at Texas A&M University, the University of Houston, and the University of Texas Health Science Center, where she earned her medical degree. She went on to practice family medicine in Fulshear, Texas, for many years.
Following her retirement in 2020, Dr. Schultz began to pursue her long-held passion for painting, working primarily in oils. Deeply inspired by the natural world, her work evokes a sense of serenity and reflection. While some of her pieces are based on specific locales, many are drawn from photographs or recollections of places she has encountered in her travels. Her art expresses a profound appreciation for the majesty and beauty of nature.
Most of her paintings are created in her home studio, often accompanied by her three dogs. Her artistic style represents a harmonious blend of classical realism and impressionism.
Outside of her work as an artist, Dr. Schultz is also an avid equestrian and participates in competitive horseback riding.
